How to get to Bruges from Brussels airport?

Bruges is a town in Flanders, the northern part of Belgium. The closest airport to Bruges is Brussels Airport, which is located approximately 110 km to the east of Bruges. Therefore, the best way to get to Bruges is to hire private car transfer service at Brussels airport. The service offers a large choice of vehicles for travellers. So travellers can choose from a small car to spacious estates. There are cars to suit everyone at Brussels Airport. Mini and compact cars are perfect if you want something practical to get around the city. After booking the service, the diver will personally pick you up and drive you straight from Brussels airport to Bruges*. The driver will be happy to recommend you some of the best restaurants or hotels in town or answer any other question concerning your stay in Bruges.

There are many hotels where you can stay in

Bruges has a huge variety of accommodation options, ranging from cheap and cheerful hotels to exclusive canal-side guesthouses. Despite this being an expensive city, it is possible to pick up a reasonably priced room. The Bruges hotel room rates are based on double occupancy of a twin or double room at the standard rate, including breakfast and all taxes.

You can find wonderful hotels for refined living such as Bonifacius. This cosy, canal-side guesthouse dates back to the

16th century and is one of the city’s most photographed private buildings. In addition, the Hotel Pand, a small luxury hotel located in the heart of the old town. Sumptuous, this former 18th-century carriage house has a friendly, laid-back ambience and one of the best champagne breakfasts in the city.

Best attraction and things to do in Bruges city

Bruges is small and can be easily toured in two days. No need to panic that there will be enough time to do and see everything. What makes it such a great place is that a lot of doing Bruges has to do with just sitting, watching and enjoying new view.

In addition, Bruges is a picturesque medieval town encapsulated in a circular canal. Very similar to Amsterdam and some German cities in many ways, even more seductive and memorable. In the main square of the paved market, there are many horses and carts that go around the world. Not to mention the high bell tower and colourful houses shaped like gingerbread, really made us feel like we had been transported back to medieval times. In addition to that, the art of cooking French fries is one that has been perfected by the Belgians. You can buy them from stands that are open from morning to night in the main market square. Also, the shops specializing in Belgian chocolate are three of four to a street. It is possible to sample chocolates non-stop in the course of a day wandering. Finally, Bruges is full of great things to do with kids.

Free wallpaper – Christmas theme No. 2

While I am working on the third part of my Salkantay Trek diary series, I made another free wallpaper for you, folks.

I designed this one with components of some Christmas candy canes and a mistletoe. Have you ever know that mistletoe is actually a parasite and that the kissing under a mistletoe comes from the Nordic mythology? And what’s the deal with candy? One version says that this candy was “invented” in the second half of the 17th century in Germany. I say: have fun with the wallpapers! You can use the wallpaper both for private and commercial purposes as well.

Time for reflections and development

Before I started Snoopy Alien, I traveled frequently and I had no intents to start a blog at all. But at a certain point I thought, why not? I mean, I had a lot of traveling experiences, and maybe there are people out there looking for information. After a concept phase and creating of the first content, I finally launched my blog.

But having a 9/5 job, traveling, doing photography and creating a blog at the same time is more challenging than someone might think. At least, I noticed that it was a challenge for me to combine those factors like writing content after work, editing pictures, doing some backlink building and so on. During the warm seasons at the weekends I neither had much time as I was doing what I love to do – to grab my DSLR and to travel, to hike, to trek and to explore as often my time allowed it.

Now, as the autumn is almost over and the winter time is approaching, it’s time for some reflections and to do some developments as well. For in my opinion, to travel excessively just for the sake of travel cannot be the target. The quality is the determinant factor, not the quantity.

What does that mean for Snoopy Alien? Well, my photography section calls for more content, the website itself could get some improvements and I’d like to invest more time for Photoshop again.

What does it mean for you, folks?

This means, you would get a better experience when you visit my blog (at least, I hope so). This also means, during the winter time, you will find here less articles about traveling and destinations but more articles about photography. Of course, you’ll nevertheless get some new articles about travling and destinations. E.g. right now, I am preparing a series of content about my 4-day trek in Peru from Cusco to Machu Picchu.

And as I would like to dedicate more time to Photoshop again, I’d like create some wallpapers you can download for free from time to time. I got the idea about the wallpapers already a couple of months ago and now it’s time to do some work for this.

As the Christmas time is coming closer, I’d like to start with a couple of wallpapers with Christmas themes. After that, I’d like to make some wallpapers for the New Year’s Eve and so on. Once started, I’ll continue to create new wallpapers and will continue doing this after the winter is over. In general, I’am planning to publish every week one wallpaper so you could change your wallpapers every week if you want.

The first free wallpaper you will be able to download at the end of November as I need to lay foundations for this first. So wait and see what comes, folks.

Would you like to be the first one to be informed about new free wallpapers? Then follow me on Facebook and Twitter.

With this in mind I say: “read me later” 😉
